Serving our high school student needs

Friends,
I wrote a long bit below, but here is a short take:
- Northshore High rearranged its schedule this year to carve out time for a daily study hall.
- The primary motivation is to provide struggling students with tutoring and other remediation.
- For other students, the time is being filled with basic, school-wide reading and essay composition assignments.
- This new study hall may someday benefit gifted and high academic achievers, but almost certainly will not, as it is implemented and planned this year.
- If you have a gifted student in junior high or high school this year, start paying attention – we can work together to make sure the needs of gifted students are given appropriate consideration.
